Plast is an opportunity for a child to grow up in the Ukrainian community and get an unforgettable experience of adventures for life!

After filling in the form on the "Register a child" page, you will get a confirmation with the next steps by mail and will automatically enter the electronic queue of the Lviv district.

Wait for autumn.

The formation of hurtky(small groups of scouts) in Lviv takes place from September to November. When it's your child's turn you will be contacted by the Plast queue administrator in Lviv.

Visit the meeting for parents.

Before the meeting of hurtok starts, the future educator will organise a gathering for parents and tell them about meetings, the requirements for the uniform, members fees and will answer all questions.

WHAT AWAITS A CHILD IN THE PLAST?

Depending on the age group, a child develops comprehensively through the Plast programme. The programme is based on weekly meetings called "skhodyny". At these meetings, children play, sing, discuss, make crafts, discuss what they have read or watched, and learn something new for their age. In addition to the meetings, the children go on trips, take part in competitions and events, and attend specialised training sessions. The year of work culminates in a summer camp, where children learn new skills and practice all that they have learned.

Up to the age of 18, a child's scouting is accompanied by achieving degrees and "probes". A Plast "probe" is a list of Plast and general knowledge, skills and abilities, the comprehension of which leads a child to develop spiritual, moral, mental, patriotic, social, physical and labour qualities, enriches his or her aesthetic and eco-culture, and helps to form character in accordance with the Plast Law. Children take "probes" both in novice (7-10 years old) and in youth (11-17 years old).

AGE CATEGORIES FOR CHILDREN

You can join Plast from the age of 2 until the end of your life. Children up to the age of 18 are educated in age groups that we call "Ulads".

Ulad of Plast Birdies ("Ptashata") (2-6 years old). In this age group, children scout only with their parents, learn new things and develop in a value-based environment.
Ulad of Novak and Novice (7-10 years old). Children form "swarms" of 6-10 children each and work with Novice mentors. During the meetings, children learn new information through stories and games.
Ulad of Boys' and Girls' (11-17 years old). Self-government is an important component for young people. Children learn the basic skills of project organisation, teamwork, financial management and documentation, and responsibility for themselves and others.

We applied since Adam was 2 years old, hoping that we would be able to join. And we ended up in an incredible nest called "Inseparable". Our boy is insanely shy, but thanks to Plast, he was able to become more independent and sociable. We knew that Plast meant travelling, mountains, and it was a big challenge for our family. Self-education

At first glance, Plast may seem like an educational organisation, but it creates an environment and conditions for children's self-education. The Plast programme is a multi-level game that requires responsibility and initiative to develop.

Time of Plast

"The Great Game" is how Plast was named by its founders. Various camps and trips, traditions and songs around the campfire, unique initiation and internal ceremonies. All of this is just a small part of the magic of the "Plast magic" that a child will plunge into when he or she joins Plast.

Plast Law

The Plast Law, or list of values, is a set of 14 rules (points) that serve as guidelines for each Plast member and ensure his or her comprehensive development: physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual, helping to make him or her a complete person.

Plast Lviv is the largest Plast cell in the world and the most powerful youth organisation in Lviv. The main goal of the cell is to educate Ukrainian youth as conscious, responsible and empowered citizens, leaders of society on the ideological principles of Plast and Christian morality.
